So this week has been a lot of fun. Last Saturday, we had both of our intermediate families over to reveal the gender of our baby. It was so much fun, I wish I could do it again. I decorated the house in all hot pink and bright blue. I got most of my ideas on pintrest of course. Everyone came over and as soon as we were done eating dinner, Andy and I gathered everyone in the living room for the big reveal. We decided it would be fun to play a game and have our families compete against each other to see who knew Andy and I better. We asked 10 random questions.
Here are just a few: How many hot wings has Andy eaten at one time? Who weighed more at birth, Andy or Katie? What was the first song Katie sang to Andy? What did Andy and Katie dress up as for their first Halloween?
Which ever family got the most correct got to open the envelope with the gender. Or so they thought...Team Riva won and when they opened the envelope it said "ask Coby". It was priceless because everyone was confused but all started yelling for Coby. Andy went and let our puppy out of our bedroom. He came running out in a hot pink tutu and a hot pink t-shirt to represent the baby girl we are having. It was hillarious!
That same night our baby girls name became official. We had been going back and forth between a few girl names and decided we really liked the name Bailey. I had first heard the name Bailey when reading the Bailey Flannigan series by Karen Kingsbury. For anyone who hasnt read a book by her, go out pick one up. Any of them are good. The week before Andy and I practiced saying her name to see how it felt. We then had to think of a good middle name. That part was pretty hard. One day I was driving to work and the name Isabel just sort of popped into my head. It sounded perfect! I especially love what her name means. Bailey: Strong fortress around a city (so i'm going with strong), Isabel: God's promise. Also if you look up Bel in Italian it means beautiful. So now we are proud and excited to say we will be expecting our little Bailey Isabel this summer!

Coby was such a good sport. He didn't even mess with the bow in his hair
Me and my mom. She was dressed like a sports girl. She even gave herself a fake shiner :) Mom I promise I will do my best to have an athletic girl.
Me and my Dad! Yup, total Daddy's girl. He thought we were having a boy so he came dressed in full camo.
Our families with their lips and mustache's
Baby Size: Banana
Total Weight gain/loss: 8lbs
Maternity clothes: I think this may be my last week in my skinny jeans
Stretch Marks: None yet but my stomach is so itchy! I have been using cocoa butter 2-3x/day
Sleep: I have been sleeping really good but wake up a lot to go to the bathroom. My lower back has just started to ache a little but not terrible.
Best moment this week: The best moment this week was having our families over for the reveal of our babies gender.
Miss anything: Jimmy John's or maybe some good fresh sushi.
Food cravings: I'm obsessed with cocoa puffs this week. Also, I have been eating a lot of eggs.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing anymore
Have you started to show yet: Yes!
Movement: I think I have been feeling some movement. The technican said that my placenta is right under my belly button and then the baby is right under that. So it may be harder for me to feel much movement until the baby is bigger.
Gender: Girl!!
Labor Signs: None
Belly Button in or out: In but I am able to see right to the bottom.
Wedding rings on or off: On
Mood: I have been feeling great. I'm just starting to get a little overwhelmed thinking about all the things we need to get done.
Looking forward to: Working on the nursery and going on our baby moon at the end of February.
Due Date: June 12th, 2013
